Our Chapel-View House, the larger of the country cottages is definitely a South Texas ranch home; although it feels more like an English country cottage. This 950 sq. foot private house has all the comforts of home, complete with breathtaking views of the countryside below. Its chintz slipcovers, and big, overstuffed sofa make this an ideal place for a small Texas family vacation. It has two bedrooms, (one king and one queen), and bath, along with a fully stocked kitchen, living/ dining room, and big back porch, (complete with gas grill), giving you a home away from home. French doors, with gauzy white drapes, open wide out of the master bedroom to overlook the lush Nueces River valley and waterfowl wetland below, with an amazing view of the little country chapel. This is the ideal spot to sit and watch the parade of wildlife that stroll by and the amazing ducks, geese, and sand hill cranes as they return to their roost.
